The Roman Empire is often considered as one of the greatest Empires this world has ever seen. From the 5th century BC. Rome gained dominance in its region of Latium, and eventually the entire Apennine peninsula. But this long conquest took almost two centuries of constant war in order to be complete.

Most of us know the history of Rome, because many of our current countries, were former administration territories occupied by this once great Empire. Our local rulers and population encountered them and in most cases they were defeated. This is a really interesting 20 minute video, showing the rise and fall of Rome.
